Nigerians drag actress, Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde over her comment on Lekki Toll Gate shooting “Your conscience will judge you”

Recall that she has insinuated on her tweeter handle that there was need for more evidence if people really died and that if victim’s family’s did not have enough evidence people should some claiming that killings took place at the Lekki Toll Gate. Well, the report from the panel even gave a list of those shot at Lekki toll gate during the End SARS protest and the social media community is not taking it lightly with Omotola due to her comments.

Top Nollywood actress, Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde has been lambasted by some social media users following her comment regarding the Lekki Toll Gate shooting.

While many people called for justice to be served on the Lekki Toll Gate Massacre that happened on 20th of October, 2020, Omotola had taken to her Twitter account to question the possibility of people being killed during the peaceful protest.

The mother of four also urged the family of those who lost their relatives during the incident to speak up and also said stated that if nobody was shot, then people should stop the sensationalisation of the Lekki Toll Gate shooting.

Her tweet reads,

“If people died during the Lekki Toll Assualt, let their people speak out please, and if there were no death, then enough with the sensationalisation because it does not remove from the crime that happened. Peaceful protesters were, why? by who?”



Since the release of reports by the Lagos Judicial Panel which revealed the names of people who were killed, missing and injured during the assault, social media users have dug out this tweet made by Omotola as some are of the view that she was bought by the state government to make the statement.
