Travelling through the waterways is common among residents of riverine areas in Nigeria. The waterway in Cross River state leads to Nigeria/Cameroon border, into the Atlantic Ocean. It is really a massive waterway. You find yourself in the middle of nowhere right at the center of the sea. You don’t see mechanic, volcanizers, sachet water hawkers, or all those hopeful sights you come across when you have a challenge while travelling by road.
Despite all these scary thoughts, traveling through the waterways is one of the most exciting trips you can embark on. Rural news tourism took us to Calabar beach from where we had take a trip to Oron to capture the experience of travelling by speed boat. This exciting video shows you what it looks like while travelling quite a distance by sea on a speed boat.
